Battle Angel or Gunnm or is my favorite manga series and was adapted into a 2 episode OVA based on the first two volumes, although it makes several drastic changes to the story. However it features character design by Nobuteru Yuki and some gorgeous animation, and is nonetheless one of my favorites.
